ABOUT
BE THE GLORY PROJECT
Be The Glory Project was born out of a moment in God’s Word that we could not ignore.

While walking through our Bible Reading Plan with our ministry, Be God’s Glory, we began to notice something repeatedly throughout Scripture. God consistently speaks about caring for those who are often forgotten; widows, orphans, the impoverished, and those in prison.

As we read, the conviction grew stronger.

God did not simply mention these groups once or twice. Throughout the Bible, He gives clear instruction to His people to care for them, protect them, and provide for them. Yet we realized that, like many people, we had become focused on the busyness of life and had overlooked the very people God repeatedly calls His people to remember.

Our hearts were deeply stirred.

We began to ask ourselves a simple but weighty question:

If this matters so much to God, what are we doing about it?

That moment of conviction became the beginning of Be The Glory Project.
Founded by Anisha and Merrill Tolbert, Be The Glory Project is a Christ-centered nonprofit organization committed to restoring hope, dignity, and stability to individuals and families facing hardship. Rooted in the truth found in James 1:27, our mission is to care for widows, orphans, individuals impacted by incarceration, and those experiencing poverty through holistic support that meets physical, emotional, and spiritual needs.

As the vision began to grow, we were joined by Taylor Barnes, whose heart for serving people in need aligned deeply with the mission. Taylor shares a genuine passion for helping those who are often overlooked and brings compassion and dedication to the work we do.

Together, we believe that ministry is not just about providing resources, but it is about walking alongside people in love, dignity, and relationship.

Through mentorship, safe resources, supportive community connections, and consistent outreach, we work to reduce poverty, improve re-entry outcomes, and strengthen families while walking alongside people in their journey toward healing and wholeness.

We believe true transformation happens when practical support is paired with compassionate relationships and the love of Christ. Our programs are designed to provide essential aid, build life-giving community, and empower individuals to discover their God-given worth, purpose, and future.

While our faith in Jesus Christ motivates everything we do, assistance is provided without condition or requirement of faith. We joyfully share the hope found in Christ, but our commitment to love and serve remains steadfast for all.

Because at the heart of Be The Glory Project is a simple belief:
No one should feel forgotten.

And when we serve those whom God calls us to remember, He receives the glory.
We believe all people deserve grace, love, and hope for their future, and with this we can change the world.
Our Mission
We live to reflect His light,
Bold in faith, walking right.
Through every word and deed we show,
God’s great glory as we grow.

Our Vision
We see the beauty in all of God's creations and His intention is to bring unity through all people no matter their circumstance, they deserve to know Christ.
